    RMR Crit Series Questions

With the RMR Crit series just around the corner, I have two questions:

1 - Is each crit result reported to the USAC, thereby counting towards an upgrade?

2 - Does one need a timing chip for the crit series?

    Thanks,

    Re: RMR Crit Series Questions

I can answer the upgrade question.

First, results do not need to be reported to USAC for your results to count.  The event simply needs to be USAC sanctioned.  Second, Crit Series results are considered practice races (running A, B, C,D races), therefore Crit Series races ONLY count for Cat 5 to 4 upgrades.  Crit Series races do not count towards Cat 3,2 or 1 upgrades.  We are only able to allow 8 Crit Series races to apply.  USAC guidelines require 10 mass start races for 5 to 4 upgrade, so at least 2 races need to be weekend races.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: RMR Crit Series Questions

    Thank you, Cameron.

Apparently my second question just got answered on the UCA main page, with timing chip use now determined by each event promoter.
