We will have a workgroup meeting to discuss the Masters categories
issues at 5:00 pm. This
meeting is open to anyone. The purpose is to come to agreement on the
masters categories before the General Meeting. The General Meeting will Begin at 6:30 pm at the Same Location.

The UCA Awards Banquet will be held at the same location the following Thursday, November 17th at 6:30 pm. We will be awarding all UCA categories (except the cat 5s) from the 2011 season. If you are not sure about your placing, see this web site "standings" buttons. The Top 3 riders will receive a nice award that is similar to what we awarded last year! They are very nice. The winners—the UCA 2011 Champions—will receive beautiful jerseys from Blackbottoms. They are a unique design made especially to celebrate the UCA points championships. We are also awarding the #1 Team from the 2011 UCA season.

All who are receiving an award please come to this Banquet or have someone pick up your award for you.

The Awards Banquet will be jointly hosted by the Utah Crit Series Awards.

We are in the process of finalizing the dinner plans. It will probably be similar to last year, but we are trying to figure out pricing and the menu. Please come out and support this great race!

	As
of Thursday morning, online registration entries are down as compared
to last year. We hope that online registration will strengthen
throughout the day and evening. Our benchmark for online and on-site
registration is a minimum of about 350 competitors. This will help to
ensure a successful race this year and allow us to plan for next year's
race.

	It
appears there may have been a glitch with online fees for our
Competitive and Recreational Citizen racers. The entry fee for Citizen
racers is $65 which includes the one day license of $10. With the
online service fee, the total cost to register online is about $71. If
you paid more than this, we will credit your account or refund what you
overpaid.

	If
you are hesitant about participating this year because Bald Mountain
Pass is closed, please know that the road race course from Evanston to
the snowline and back to Evanston or the Ranger Station will still be
very challenging.

	If
you are hesitant about competing this weekend because of the
possibility of cooler weather, please know that we will have "Rockin'
Robin's Shuttle Fleet" positioned at various locations from North Slope
Road to the snowline, ready to respond immediately if necessary. Your
welfare is our number one priority.

	The
Evanston Cycling Club Board of Directors has WAIVED the additional $10
day of race fee on Saturday morning. There will NOT be a $10 day of
race fee on Saturday morning.

	This
is a legendary snow year! This year's race will be legendary! Don't
miss being part of the legend by registering online today, tomorrow
evening or Saturday morning in Evanston.

	Online registration
closes on Friday, June 17th at 12:59 a.m. MDT. On-site registration in

This year, we're
hosting the Intermountain Collegiate Cycling Conference Championships,
but we wanted to make sure to invite as many non-collegiate riders as
possible to make things more competitive and fun. For those of you who
aren't doing East Canyon, it's a good chance to get in a 3-stage race
(crit, RR, and TTT) for only $50. NICA is the governing body for high school cycling in the US. Partnered with The Positive Coaching Alliance, they provide education and certification of league coaches. They also provide skills clinics for the kids, governing/sanctioning of races, and the means and sponshorship to get our league up and running. This will be a great thing for Utah's kids! Go west on I-80 past the airport and take the second exit into the International Center. There are signs on the exit that will guide you to the Hotel.

Attached is the Agenda. We have no formal bylaw amendments, but that doesn’t mean that we are restricted in our conversations. Untimely items can be brought up with at ¾ majority and can be passed by 2/3 majority.

We need input on the budget.

Also, there are four individuals running for three directors positions: Jeff Clawson, Mike Hanseen, Dave Harward and Cameron Hoffman.

We need all club presidents there. We invite all to come and give their opinion, but only club presidents hold voting privileges.

Thanks,

Dear UCA Members,

We are pleased to announce a special guest speaker for the upcoming UCA Awards Banquet. Park City native and former pro cyclist Marty Jemison has graciously agreed to be our guest speaker for the evening!

For those who do not know, Marty was a professional cyclist in Europe for seven years, six of those with the U.S. Postal team. Among his many accomplishments are a U.S. Pro Championship, won in 1999, and finishing 2 Tours de France in 1997 and 1998. Marty was one of the original founders of the local MiDuole team and cut his teeth racing in Utah before turning professional.

Please join us for a great evening with Marty, as well as celebrating a great season of Utah road racing.

Thursday, November 11th at the Airport Hampton Inn, 307 North Admiral Byrd Road, 7:00 pm.

Dinner will be an Italian Buffet. Cost - $20.00 per person, (subsidized by the UCA). There will be a cash bar. You can order your meal online at: https://www.sportsbaseonline.com/events/index.xhtml?categoryId=36821

See you there!
